Senior Data Scientist, Marketplace

📋 Description

• Partner with engineers, PMs, and business partners to frame problems and roadmaps
• Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the problem and marketplace
• Develop, fit, and evaluate time series forecasting and ML models
• Write production code; collaborate with software engineers to scale models
• Design backtests and live experiments; analyze results to inform launches
• Define and monitor model health; build tooling to improve operational efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• MS or PhD in statistics, mathematics, economics, OR, CS, or related field
• 5+ years in a technology company with a product
• Proven time series forecasting and ML model experience in real-time/large-scale prod
• Strong ML fundamentals: feature engineering, evaluation, bias-variance
• Proficiency with Python and modern ML libraries; production coding
• End-to-end data experience: querying, aggregation, analysis, visualization
• Passion for solving unstructured mathematical problems
• Strong written/verbal communication; ability to align stakeholders with data
