Senior Data Scientist, Systems Performance

📋 Description

• Lead development of evaluation frameworks for autonomous systems and metrics.
• Collaborate with Safety and Systems Engineering to map metrics to safety standards.
• Ensure metrics are reliable for safety cases and launch readiness; monitor drift.
• Apply data-driven methods for analysis of simulation and on-road data; develop new metrics.
• Turn edge cases into scenarios to strengthen test coverage in the simulation catalog.
• Build self-service tools for developers to understand the impact of changes and findings.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience solving complex problems with large datasets, turning ambiguous questions into data-driven analyses.
• Bachelor's or higher in CS, CE, Data Science, Robotics, Physics, Mathematics; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with data analysis libraries; able to work with large datasets.
• Experience applying advanced statistical and ML methods to derive insights.
• Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and causal analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to explain findings clearly to engineers and leadership.
