Senior Database Administrator

📋 Description

• Manage health, availability, performance, and security of SQL Server and MySQL across on-prem and AWS.
• Monitor DB operations, backups, maintenance, and performance to resolve issues within SLAs.
• Escalation point for complex incidents; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Optimize performance via query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
• Collaborate with cloud, app development, and engineering teams for scalable deployments.
• Deploy and maintain database objects across multiple environments (tables, indexes, views, procedures).

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Business Admin or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience administering SQL Server in production.
• Strong expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and HA/DR.
• Experience analyzing execution plans, logs, and metrics to resolve issues.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing database objects across environments.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
