Senior Database Engineer

📋 Description

• Implement best practices across supported datastores (MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Vector databases)
• Improve the end-to-end platformization of the database lifecycle to support feature-ready agentic
• Transform database platform self-service capabilities into reusable APIs for cross-platform
• Enhance database reliability and performance across Grab while partnering with application teams to
• Improve database observability through metric tracking, anomaly detection, and preventive automated
• Collaborate across platform and application engineering teams to safely deploy production changes

🎯 Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience running MySQL/PostgreSQL databases in large environments
• Knowledge in infrastructure automation (Python programming)
• Awareness of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with stable and secure systems management practices
