Senior Director, Investor Relations

📋 Description

• Lead quarterly earnings materials (press releases, supplements, scripts, Q&A) with rigor.
• Serve as primary spokesperson to institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
• Develop/refine Marqeta’s long-term investment thesis and messaging.
• Build shareholder relations; manage 13F analysis and proactive outreach.
• Provide board-level reporting on shareholder composition and market sentiment.
• Monitor fintech/payments landscape; translate research into actionable intel.

🎯 Requirements

• MBA or CFA (plus) desired.
• 15+ years in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, FP&A, or institutional investing.
• Familiarity with payments/fintech.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong equity valuation methodologies and capital markets knowledge.
• Bay Area-based or willing to relocate for in-person role.
