Senior Director of Engineering, Billing Platform

📋 Description

• Lead the engineering org for Cloudflare's billing platform and quote-to-cash systems.
• Own technical strategy, org design, execution, and health of systems for usage-based billing
• Scale a multi-team platform with focus on correctness, reliability, auditability, and customer
• Partner with Product, Finance, Revenue Ops, Legal, Sales, Support, and external vendors to turn

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years software engineering, 7+ years leading eng teams, 3+ years managers management.
• Experience with billing/payments/fintech or systems requiring high correctness and auditability.
• Strong judgment in distributed SaaS platforms, APIs, data pipelines, cloud-native infra.
• Proven ability to define and execute multi-year platform strategy across teams/functions.
• Experience with usage-based billing, invoicing, payments, taxation, entitlements, revenue data
• Familiarity with Stripe, CRM/ERP/tax/revenue tools, data warehouses, BI/reporting.
