📋 Description

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead engineering for Standard and Advanced Managed MySQL.
• Operational Excellence: Set tier-0 cloud DB SLIs/SLOs and incident response.
• Production-Grade Platform: Drive HA, automated failover, routing, and scaling.
• Serve Demanding Customers: Support large workloads via tooling and VPC deployment.
• Define AI-Native Strategy: Roadmap MySQL as AI-ready operational data substrate.
• Strategic Architecture: Own long-term strategy including replication and multi-region resilience.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years in cloud/data/distributed systems
• 6+ years managing managers
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and DB management
• Strong executive communication and customer judgment
• Expertise in MySQL or RDS/Aurora/Vitess
• Experience building HA architectures and DB scaling
