Senior Director, Project & Portfolio Management

📋 Description

• Build AI-forward PPM org partnering with therapeutic areas and operations
• Develop rightsized project strategies and high-performing teams
• Create integrated plans across research, discovery, clinical, software, and ML
• Establish agentic workflows and decision tools across the portfolio
• Lead governance and portfolio reviews with clear decision tools
• Hybrid role onsite 3 days/week at South San Francisco HQ

🎯 Requirements

• BS in life science; MS/PhD preferred
• 15+ years biotech/pharma R&D and clinical development; 8+ years in PM leadership
• Deep knowledge of drug development across at least one modality
• Translational stages, CMC workflows, and early clinical development
• Strong PM skills: critical path, scenario planning, budget/resource mgmt
• Experience with governance and portfolio planning
