Senior Director, Software Development

📋 Description

• Lead engineering for Follett Software library portfolio (K-12, international)
• US-based, remote role; sponsorship not provided
• Own end-to-end software lifecycle from planning to release
• Partner with Product, Design, QA, Cloud Eng to translate priorities
• Drive technical strategy and modernization while ensuring platform stability
• Build pragmatic, collaborative leadership focused on customer outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/SE/IT or related field
• 12+ years of software development leadership with multiple teams
• Led large multi-product engineering functions with people leaders
• Experience delivering SaaS/web/hybrid commercial software
• Strong technical foundation across Java, J2EE, .NET, SQL Server, JavaScript
• Familiar with Azure, CI/CD, automated testing, release management
• Ability to balance strategy with execution in fast-paced multi-product environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and change-management skills
