📋 Description

• Supervise a team of reporters on Washington-related beats.
• Guide reporting to ensure ambitious and creative storytelling.
• Coach reporters in selecting stories with impact and overcome hurdles.

• Collaborate with researchers, data viz, engagement, audience, and visuals.

🎯 Requirements

• At least five years of experience editing accountability reporting and leading investigations.
• Experience reporting or editing coverage of the federal government or Washington, D.C.
• Strong collaboration and communication across newsroom and external partners.
• Exceptional organizational skills; able to juggle many tasks and meet deadlines.
• Editing range for investigative storytelling: rolling, traditional, narratives, multimedia.
• Willingness and ability to travel for meetings, training, and events.
