Senior Electric Propulsion Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead HET propulsion subsystem architecture and trade-offs.
• Define requirements and interfaces with avionics, mechanical, thermal, GNC.
• Model HET behavior: plasma, plume, thermal, contamination.
• Characterize propulsion performance (thrust, Isp, efficiency) on ground and flight.
• Design and operate ground test facilities and safety controls.
• Define qualification and production-readiness criteria for flight builds.

🎯 Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Aerospace, Plasma, Electrical Eng, or related.
• 6+ years experience with electric propulsion systems (Hall thrusters).
• Strong foundation in plasma physics, propulsion modeling, system integration.
• Experience designing propulsion power systems and PPUs, HV architectures.
• Proficiency with analytical tools: COMSOL, ANSYS, SPIS, MATLAB.
• Hands-on propulsion lab testing, plasma diagnostics and HV instrumentation.
