Be primary legal partner for People Operations; manage outside counsel.
Anticipate employment-law risks early and address pragmatically.
Provide scalable guidance on recruiting, leaves, accommodations, investigations, and policy.
Ensure manufacturing, field ops, and corporate practices are compliant.
Handle EEOC/DOL matters and pre-litigation steps.
Draft training and update the Employee Handbook; oversee equity.

🎯 Requirements

JD and CA bar admission
10+ years in-house or startup counsel
Experience with hourly employees, especially CA manufacturing
Onsite 3 days/week: Hayward site and San Mateo HQ
Strong prioritization and multitasking
Collaborative, proactive problem-solver
