Senior Engineer, Backend - Protection

📋 Description

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain robust backend systems, taking ownership of solutions
• Develop automation capabilities for payment dispute management at scale, including notifications
• Expand dispute management coverage by integrating additional payment service providers.
• Collaborate with third-party fraud prevention providers (Riskified, Forter, Signifyd, Sift) to
• Design and implement native risk management capabilities including velocity rules, blocklists
• Work closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to translate

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience owning backend systems end to end
• Strong software engineering and system design skills
• Experience building systems from scratch and taking ownership of ambiguous problems
• High standards for code quality, testing, reliability, and operational excellence
• Proactive, delivery-focused mindset with track record of shipping improvements frequently
• Experience mentoring engineers or helping establish engineering best practices
