Senior Engineer (geospatial experience)

📋 Description

• Take ownership of key parts of the platform, from system design and architecture to production code
• Own the map and geometry layer: extracting geometry from documents, placing it at real latitude and
• Implement geospatial distance, routing, and hauling-related functionality.
• Make significant architectural decisions and contribute to production code.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, engineering standards, and CI.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and systems designed to fail safely when an output cannot be

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software, with increasing ownership of architecture and
• Strong production experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience working with maps, coordinates, geometry, or geospatial data in a real-world
• Experience with one or more of the following: GIS, GeoJSON, KML, routing, asset mapping, fleet
• Experience working with messy real-world data, including inconsistent formats, missing fields, and
• Experience building systems where incorrect outputs can have meaningful business consequences.
