Senior Engineer (Plant Thermal Hydraulics Validations)

📋 Description

• Support verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification for plant-scale thermal-hydraulic
• Run system-level steady-state and transient simulations to evaluate model behavior, accuracy, and
• Analyze experimental data from separate-effects and integral facilities to validate models and
• Define validation requirements and collaborate with test engineering to align experiments with
• Develop and maintain documentation for validation methodologies, model assumptions, results, and
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting plant design, safety analysis, and licensing.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Nuclear/Chemical Engineering or related field, with 6+ years of
• Experience with system-level thermal-hydraulic analysis and code assessment for nuclear systems or
• Proven model validation experience including model-to-test comparisons, validation metrics, and
• Hands-on analysis of experimental thermal-hydraulic data, evaluating uncertainties, and comparing
• Experience using RELAP5-3D, TRACE, SAS, or equivalent thermal-hydraulic tools.
• Strong understanding of thermal-fluid behavior, reactor systems, and energy-design considerations.
