Senior Engineering Manager, Hyperscale Build Tools and Environments

📋 Description

• Lead and grow a team of engineers for build tools and environments
• Set direction across build orchestration, build systems, containers, and workflows
• Drive improvements in build speed, reliability, reproducibility, and debuggability
• Establish operational excellence for build infra: quality standards, observability, incident response, change management, and continuous improvement
• Partner with teams across the Hyperscale Line of Business and broader engineering to align tooling with product delivery needs
• Coach and develop engineers through regular feedback, career growth planning, stretch opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering, including infra, developer productivity, build systems
• 3+ years leading teams with 6+ members and strong people leadership
• Experience managing teams that own internal developer platforms used by multiple product teams
• Strong understanding of modern build systems and toolchains — dependency management and reproducible builds
• Experience with Make, CMake, CI pipelines, and Docker-based builds; owning a bespoke tool is a plus
• Hands-on Linux development, Docker, and maintaining consistent build images and execution environments
