Senior Engineering Manager, Kernel

📋 Description

• Directly manage Linux kernel/Flash Array dev, FC and Ethernet protocols
• Collaborate with program managers, release managers, and cross-functional teams
• Drive third-party integrations and Purity release planning
• Define CI plans and phased execution; oversee full SDLC
• Hire, mentor, and manage software teams; communicate progress regularly

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of technical lead or management experience, hands-on
• 5+ years Linux kernel or protocol development in servers, networking or storage (x86 NUMA)
• 2+ years collaborating with remote teams based in the US or other country
• Experience with NVMe, NFS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel, SCSI, or SMB
• Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages (Python, Shell)
• Experience with Agile development and continuous integration
• Working knowledge of Linux virtualization tools or data path tech such as DPDK
