📋 Description

• Lead a small, senior team of five frontend engineers and own the vision for how Headway builds UI
• Set the strategy for the design system and web architecture, acting as the voice of frontend
• Own the roadmap for the design system (Helix) and web architecture with Design leadership and
• Hire, grow, and manage performance of senior engineers, addressing underperformance directly
• Evolve Helix design system in partnership with Design leadership
• Own frameworks and tooling for all Headway web apps, including standards for accessibility (WCAG

🎯 Requirements

• Career built in frontend engineering; previously a senior or staff frontend engineer before moving
• Deep experience with React and modern web technologies
• Experience leading a frontend platform, design system, or web architecture team, ideally at a
• 3+ years of engineering management experience, including hiring, growing senior engineers, and
• Daily use of AI tools and recent experience shipping code with AI tools in the last six months
• Clear point of view on what great frontend engineering looks like today, advocating with data
