Senior Financial Analyst - R&D

📋 Description

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Security, and technology leaders to guide financial decisions
• Lead R&D budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, and long-range planning across headcount, cloud infra, software, AI, and vendors
• Build and maintain financial models translating roadmaps, hiring plans, tech architecture, and vendor commitments into outcomes
• Evaluate strategic tradeoffs across hiring, cloud consumption, vendors, and build-versus-buy decisions
• Develop executive-ready dashboards and reporting on R&D spend, workforce trends, forecast accuracy, cloud costs, and performance
• Prepare business cases and scenario analyses to support new products and platform investments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
• 5–7 years of FP&A or related analytics experience
• Experience supporting Product, Engineering, R&D in SaaS/cloud/high-growth software
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and partnering
• Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost management
• Experience with ERP/BI/AI analytics tools (Adaptive Planning, Workday, NetSuite)
