Senior Fire Protection Engineer - Nuclear Codes & NRC Compliance

📋 Description

• Lead nuclear fire protection projects from proposal to closeout.
• Perform Fire Hazards Analyses (FHA) for nuclear plants.
• Evaluate NRC regulations including 10 CFR 50 Appendix R and 50.48.
• Develop licensing basis changes and exemption requests.
• Interface with NRC, utilities, and project teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection or related engineering.
• 8–12 years nuclear fire protection experience.
• 5+ years supporting a commercial nuclear plant directly or via consulting.
• Expertise with NRC fire protection regulations and licensing.
• Experience performing FHA and compliance evaluations.
• Knowledge of NFPA 805, 10 CFR 50 Appendix R, 50.48, NRC guides.
