Senior Forecasting and Optimization Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and improve energy forecasting models
• Develop and improve control and optimization algorithms
• Design, write, test, and deploy production-grade forecasting and optimization code
• Build and monitor the quality of forecasting and optimization models
• Translate data from large distributed energy datasets into actionable insights
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Data Eng, Client Success, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Market Development teams

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for enabling a carbon-free distributed energy future
• 5+ years in ML, statistics, data visualization, control systems engineering, and/or mathematical optimization
• Experience building data pipelines using large-scale relational databases
• Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to apply new mathematical techniques to real-world problems
• 3+ years Python with ML stack: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow
• Ability to derive insights from large, complex datasets
