Senior Fuel Handing Systems Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead design, integration, and qualification of fuel handling systems for advanced reactor projects
• Coordinate analyses (thermal, seismic, structural, pipe stress, heat transfer) into plant designs
• Provide mechanical system design direction for thermal/fluid requirements
• Ensure application of ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA and other standards
• Guide nuclear and non-nuclear design practices and regulatory alignment
• Support project planning and ensure design schedules align with plant milestones

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years in mechanical systems design and engineering
• Experience with nuclear fuel handling or similar advanced systems
• Experience with nuclear reactors, fuel handling, or high-performance environments
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section III and related quality standards (ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001)
• Ability to interpret and apply industry codes/regulatory requirements
