Senior Fuel Handling System Design Engineer (Nuclear)

📋 Description

• Lead design and integration of nuclear fuel handling systems from concept to final engineering
• Coordinate thermal, seismic, structural, piping stress, and heat transfer analyses
• Develop and review FEA and CFD models to support designs
• Ensure compliance with ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA and regulatory requirements
• Create and manage engineering drawings, specs, and documentation
• Collaborate across mechanical, civil, controls, and nuclear teams; oversee suppliers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years designing complex mechanical systems, nuclear preferred
• Experience designing nuclear fuel handling or similar high-performance systems
• Proficiency in FEA and CFD modeling
• Familiarity with ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 and other nuclear standards
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and deliverables
