📋 Description

  • Lead design, integration and qualification of fuel handling systems for advanced reactor projects
  • Coordinate analyses: thermal, seismic, structural, pipe stress, heat transfer into plant designs
  • Provide mechanical system design direction for thermal/fluid needs
  • Apply engineering codes/standards: ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA and others
  • Guide nuclear and non-nuclear design practices and ensure regulatory alignment
  • Support design reviews and continuous improvement of plant system designs

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years in mechanical systems design and engineering
  • Proven experience with complex mechanical systems, especially nuclear fuel handling or similar
  • Experience with nuclear reactors, fuel handling processes, high-performance environments
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design, system integration and qualification processes
  • Experience with ASME Section III and quality standards (ASME NQA-1/ISO 9001)
