📋 Description

  • Design nuclear fuel handling systems and subsystems from initial requirements to final design
  • Coordinate and integrate analyses (thermal, seismic, structural, pipe stress, heat transfer, etc.)
  • Provide mechanical system design direction related to thermal and fluid requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate application of codes and standards (ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA, etc).
  • Provide technical guidance on nuclear and non-nuclear design standards and engineering practices.
  • Analyze and allocate regulatory requirements for complex mechanical and process system designs.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of direct experience with mechanical systems design and engineering.
  • Proven experience designing complex mechanical systems, especially nuclear fuel handling systems.
  • Experience with nuclear reactors, fuel handling processes, or similar high-performance environments.
  • Knowledge of ASME Section III and quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and ability to lead engineering activities.
