Senior GCP CloudOps Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead day-to-day operations of production GCP environments ensuring high availability.
• Design, implement, and optimize monitoring, observability, and incident response.
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation with IaC and scripting.
• Develop runbooks and best practices to support reliability.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, and security to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Establish cloud governance for capacity planning, cost optimization, resource management, and security controls.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years in cloud operations or infra engineering, incl. 4+ years on production GCP.
• Strong expertise with GCP services: GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage.
• Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform) and automation using Python, Go, or Bash.
• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, GitOps, and cloud-native deployment.
• Experience leading incident response and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security, identity, cost optimization, and compliance.
• GCP certifications (Architect/DevOps/Security) valued.
