Senior Geospatial Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Build and maintain production pipelines that collect data from external providers, process it, and
• Own pipelines in production, respond to failures, and adapt ingestion when upstream providers
• Develop and operate REST and STAC APIs for data delivery to internal and external consumers
• Process large raster and vector datasets at scale, covering reprojection, mosaicking, tiling
• Improve automated testing, CI/CD, and data quality monitoring
• Work with stakeholders to agree on requirements and write specifications and decision records

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of Python in production, with deep knowledge of spatial indexing, coordinate reference
• Strong PostgreSQL/PostGIS skills: schema design, partitioning, query tuning, and safe migrations on
• Experience running production pipelines on an orchestration framework (Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect)
• Experience building and operating HTTP services in Python with a modern async framework and ORM
• Comfort with containers, CI/CD, cloud storage/messaging, and Kubernetes
• Expert, pragmatic use of AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot)
