Senior GNC Engineer - Flight Controls

📋 Description

• Design, modify, and tune control laws for assigned flight modes and control loops, such as
• Analyze control laws against stability, performance, and handling qualities criteria, such as
• Propose improvements to the control law architecture and design criteria based on analysis and test
• Perform system identification of the aircraft and its subsystems from flight and ground test data
• Use identification results to update the flight dynamics models and simulation environment.
• Develop verification cases for the control laws, including Monte Carlo, worst-case, and

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a
• 5+ years of industry experience in flight controls or GNC with a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years with a
• Hands-on experience designing and tuning flight control laws that were evaluated in flight test or
• Solid understanding of aircraft flight dynamics, including modeling, linearization, and dynamic
• Strong foundation in classical and modern control theory, including frequency-domain analysis
• Experience with multi-loop flight control architectures, such as cascaded loops, explicit model
