Senior Hardware Engineer, Lidar

📋 Description

• Lead radar or lidar sensing system development from concept to launch.
• Define sensor targets, requirements, evaluation criteria, and validation plans.
• Drive sensor benchmarking and down-selection across suppliers and technologies.
• Lead supplier technical engagement: reviews, data, architecture, issues.
• Guide architecture and tradeoffs for sensing performance, packaging, power, and cost.
• Collaborate with systems, perception, firmware, validation, and manufacturing.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CS/Robotics or related field; 7+ years experience.
• 8+ years in automotive sensing with radar or lidar; strong technical leadership.
• Strong first-principles understanding of radar and lidar sensing.
• Strong Python scripting with NumPy, pandas, and Jupyter.
• Ability to analyze sensor data, logs, and validate results.
• Experience with Wireshark, CAN tools, and ROS/rosbag.
