Senior Instrument Technical Program Manager

📋 Description

• Own the integrated master schedule, budget, and risk for the EO/IR instrument.
• Translate architectures into execution plans with ISE; lead PDR/CDR.
• Interface with Mission TPM and Spacecraft TPM for vehicle integration.
• Coordinate with HW Engineering to secure Optical/Optomechanical resources.
• Partner with Supply Chain to manage external optical vendors.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive root-cause analyses to closure.

🎯 Requirements

• Ph.D. with 3+ years imaging/IR remote sensing in multi-disciplinary env.
• MS with 6+ yrs; BS with 8+ yrs; PM/lead; TS/SCI preferred.
• LEO EO/IR instruments exp; FPAs and IDCAs.
• Jira, Confluence, MS Project or Smartsheet expert.
• Root cause analysis in high-performance hardware.
• Excellent communication and startup-style adaptability.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Hands-on optical assembly, alignment, cleanroom ops, TVAC.
• Python, Julia, SQL for program data integration.
• PMP certification or equivalent program credentials.
