Senior IT Automation Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the IT Tooling automations architecture powering IT operations at Coinbase
• Build self-service workflows, bots, and integrations used daily
• Drive architecture decisions across platforms like n8n, Airflow, Temporal, Jira
• Lead complex automation projects end-to-end as technical DRI
• Collaborate with Security, Corporate Engineering, and IAM to unblock blockers
• Work with regional IT teams across APAC, EMEA, AMER to scale automation

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in IT engineering, automation, or systems engineering with architecture ownership
• Deep expertise building automations with n8n, Airflow, Temporal, Jira, or Workato; Git workflows
• Working knowledge of Okta, Slack API, and Google Workspace administration for secure automation
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments; translate problems into specs
• Experience mentoring peers and writing technical design docs for diverse audiences
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow quality
