Senior Java Engineer - Core/Infra - Elasticsearch

📋 Description

• Contribute to core infrastructure powering Elasticsearch.
• Lead cross-team projects and communicate technical concepts across teams.
• Improve performance, scalability, and observability of the platform.
• Own end-to-end operational investigations until issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with Elastic users and open source projects.
• Support engineers with the harder problems.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience crafting APIs and evaluating tradeoffs.
• Proficient in algorithms and data structures.
• Strong core Java skills and concurrency knowledge.
• Low-level Java: concurrency, parallelism, classloaders.
• CI/CD experience (Buildkite, Argo CD, GitOps).
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and drive decisions.
