Senior Lab Systems Scientist

📋 Description

• Lead design, development, and optimization of lab systems for scalable clinical testing.
• Collaborate with R and D, Software, Bioinformatics, and Ops on tech transfer and validation.
• Translate ops needs into robust lab system designs meeting regulatory and safety requirements.
• Develop PQ/validation protocols and study designs; support change management.
• Oversee release testing and QA for non product software and automation solutions.
• Lead post launch rollout, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement of lab operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in molecular biology, engineering, or related field; PhD or ASCP/CGMBS preferred.
• 8+ years lab experience in R and D protocols, LDT assays, automation, high complexity testing.
• Hands on experience with next generation sequencing NGS and DNA/RNA molecular biology.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
• Experience leading tech transfer, lab system development, or process engineering initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of ISO13485/15189, CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH.
