Senior Legacy Conversion Consultant

📋 Description

• Analyze legacy apps to determine modernization and migration strategies.
• Execute migration projects using automation tools and conversion approaches.
• Apply enhancements, fixes, and optimizations during migration lifecycles.
• Define migration approaches for components: DB access, online transactions, batch processing, UI
• Support phased migration strategies and deliver on target platforms (mainframe to modern stacks).
• Validate migrated apps for functional, performance, and quality standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong commercial experience with CA Gen (Cool:Gen) and legacy environments.
• Proven experience delivering migration, modernization, conversion, or re-platforming projects.
• Strong understanding of Gen Models, data structures, online/batch processing, RDB access
• Experience with mainframe environments and 3270 block-mode apps.
• Familiarity with COBOL (CICS, IMS-DC, DB2), Java, .NET, Spring Boot, Angular, and cloud platforms.
