Senior Legal Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide practical, clear and accurate legal advice on a broad range of practice areas including
• Independently structure, draft, negotiate and review financing, partnership and customer-facing
• Anticipate, elucidate and address legal issues to protect the interests of Neo and reduce exposure
• Draft internal policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with legal requirements
• Support legal updates to all customer facing disclosures and agreements
• Develop and maintain form agreements, contract management systems, and other databases

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L.LB) or Juris Doctor (J.D.)
• A member of, or eligible for membership in, the Law Society of Alberta
• A minimum of 10 years experience in either private practice or in-house with experience in one or
• Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the banking, fintech or financial services
• Proven ability to think strategically and provide business units with concise analysis and
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
