📋 Description

• Partner with Product, Compliance, and teams to design and launch new products.
• Advise on securities, AML/ATF, payments, consumer protection, and related matters.
• Lead regulatory initiatives, including licensing, audits, and regulator engagement.
• Provide practical, business-focused legal guidance to leaders.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to speed up legal work.
• Support other matters including commercial agreements, governance, and employment.

🎯 Requirements

• Canadian-qualified lawyer with 5+ years in fintech, crypto, or payments.
• Able to operate independently in a lean team with minimal oversight.
• Business-focused legal judgment balancing risk, options, and outcomes.
• Comfort advising product and operations teams on ambiguous questions.
• Strong written and verbal communication for non-legal stakeholders.
