Senior Legal Counsel - Financial Services & Regulatory

📋 Description

• Structure and run the legal function for the FS perimeter (licensing to operation).
• Define the operating model (intra-group/outsourced) and ensure legality.
• Post-licensing, scale compliance, product growth, and governance.
• Own day-to-day legal matters, policies, governance, and reporting.
• Oversee outsourcing/BaaS contracts, vendor risk, SLAs, and data protection.
• Lead migration readiness for Swan migrations, including sequencing and communications.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant in-house or regulated FS legal experience.
• Senior legal expert in a French ACPR-regulated entity (payments/EMI/PI).
• Strong ACPR/European regulatory frameworks experience (payments).
• Hands-on contract negotiation; PSD2, DORA, EBA Guidelines knowledge.
• Fluent in French and English; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to explain regulatory topics to product teams; pragmatic and fast.
