📋 Description

• Understand underwriting policies, guidelines, practices and procedures
• Evaluate risk through medical history, condition, occupation, and finances
• Communicate underwriting decisions in writing and verbally
• Influence changes to improve processes while maintaining mortality expectations
• Gather information efficiently for decision making
• Independently handle requests; comfortable with ambiguity

🎯 Requirements

• 5-7 years Life/Health Insurance experience
• 4 year degree preferred
• In process or completed industry designations: LOMA, ALMI, FMLI, ALU, FALU
• Demonstrated knowledge of risk selection (medical, non-medical, financial)
• Experience with underwriting rules engines
• Term and permanent, adult and juvenile life underwriting
