Senior Lifecycle Counsel, International

📋 Description

• Lead legal workstream for complex EOR lifecycle matters with regional and outside counsel.
• Serve as legal contact for complex termination and offboarding; guide risk strategy and documentation.
• Translate local-law requirements into practical guidance for Ops, CS, Payroll, Benefits, Product, and Sales.
• Build lifecycle standards, playbooks, escalation paths, and training to enable consistent handling of routine matters.
• Advise Product and Operations on lifecycle requirements, risk parameters, workflow logic, and SOPs; support customer guidance.
• Manage outside counsel on complex matters and monitor market developments.

🎯 Requirements

• JD or equivalent law degree and admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5+ years of substantive employment law experience, including in-house, international employment counseling, EOR, PEO, or cross-border work.
• Deep experience advising on employee lifecycle matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience supporting an EOR business, global employment platform, international HR operations, or multi-country counseling strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to build legal standards, risk frameworks, escalation paths, playbooks, policies, knowledge bases, and SOPs for non-legal teams; cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in another relevant language is a plus; occasional travel required.
