Senior Machine Learning Engineer

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end model development: design, build, test, and maintain ML systems and algorithms.
• Deploy and operate models to increase Thorn’s capability to detect and remove CSAM content.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and product teams to deploy models and model serving infrastructure.
• Communicate problem formulation, feature design, training and evaluation results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Present technical work at conferences and external forums representing Thorn.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in ML/AI; PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and building ML systems and pipelines for production.
• Experience deploying computer vision and/or NLP in production.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly; thrive in ambiguity; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills; written and spoken, especially in a distributed team.
• Commitment to placing children at the center of the work.
