Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Infra), Driver Understanding and Evaluation

📋 Description

• Build scalable systems for training and fine-tuning large-scale models to evaluate driving behaviors
• Work at the intersection of data engineering, model development, and simulation
• Own large, complex systems driving architectures that meet objectives
• Contribute to production and optimization of ML models for Waymo fleet
• Design and scale distributed systems for ML lifecycle and planet-scale datasets
• Collaborate cross-functionally to derive requirements and measurable deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• MS or PhD in CS/ML or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in ML infrastructure (data to model): training, deployment, optimization
• Contributions to tooling/frameworks (PyTorch, Jax, TensorFlow, Ray) with API and internals knowledge
• Strong distributed training expertise and profiling to optimize ML on accelerators
