Senior Manager, Data Engineering

📋 Description

• Technical implementation of TNC's data engineering platform; constructs the platform from ground up.
• Makes engineering decisions including data model design, tooling selection, pipeline design
• Sequences and manages delivery to ensure teams receive needed data.
• Personally develops production pipelines in early phases; converts work into reusable components
• Recruits, supervises, and develops a team of data engineers.
• Implements and enforces data quality practices: automated testing, data contracts, lineage

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years related work experience or equivalent, including 3 years
• Experience designing, building, and operating production data platforms in a cloud environment.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing engineering staff.
• Experience with SQL and at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python).
• Knowledge of distributed data processing, data modeling, and operational characteristics of batch
• Love Claude Code/agentic software creation while understanding test development criticality.
