Senior Manager, Data Platform Engineering - Kubernetes - Distributed Systems

📋 Description

• Lead, grow, and develop a team of software engineers who design, build, and operate services within
• Own end-to-end delivery for team domain: setting priorities, roadmap, scope and sequencing
• Accountable for reliability, scalability, and operability of services: establishing SLOs, on-call
• Partner with principal and distinguished engineers, peer managers, and workload teams to align work
• Stay close to work as player-coach: review designs and code, weigh in on architectural decisions
• Build healthy, high-trust engineering culture with clear expectations, honest feedback, inclusive

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leveraging or critically thinking about integrating AI into engineering and platform
• 10+ years building production software, including substantial hands-on experience operating
• 5+ years managing software engineers with track record of hiring, developing, retaining strong
• Track record leading teams to deliver complex, business-critical systems end-to-end from design
• Hands-on experience with at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP) including core compute
• Strong working knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD and GitOps-based delivery
