Senior Manager, Detection & Response (Security Engineering)

📋 Description

• Own the strategic vision and roadmap for Detection & Response across multi-cloud infra.
• Build, scale, and mentor a distributed global team across NA and India.
• Drive evolution of detection engineering and incident response with automation.
• Oversee incident response operations; act as escalation point / Incident Commander.
• Establish metrics to continuously evaluate and improve program maturity.
• Partner with Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to integrate telemetry and proactive response.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in software/security; 5+ years in engineering or security mgmt.
• Proven track record of building, coaching, and scaling engineering teams across time zones.
• Deep expertise in detection engineering, incident response, and threat intelligence.
• Experience building data pipelines, telemetry, or streaming architectures.
• Proven ability to lead complex, high-severity security incidents.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; translate risks into priorities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent.
