Senior Manager, Hedge Accounting

📋 Description

• Lead hedge accounting SME for ASC 815 and IFRS 9 across client portfolios.
• Own hedge deliverables from documentation through disclosures and audit support.
• Develop the Derivative Accountants and scalable workflows.
• Combine technical authority with builder's mindset to optimize processes.
• Guide clients through hedging relationships to qualify.
• Translate FASB/IASB updates into actionable summaries for clients/internal teams.

🎯 Requirements

• CPA required; advanced degree in Accounting or Finance a plus.
• 10+ years accounting experience; 7+ years in derivatives/hedge accounting ASC 815/IFRS 9.
• Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams.
• Deep fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9; hedge elections, effectiveness testing, disclosures.
• Strong understanding of derivatives across asset classes: IR swaps, cross-currency swaps, FX forwards, options, and commodities.
• Experience with hedge accounting platforms (Ripple Treasury, Chatham, Reval, FIS Quantum or similar) preferred.
