Senior Manager of Materials

📋 Description

• Lead agile material development with mills and suppliers.
• Define testing plans and performance standards.
• Manage seasonal material development including colors, lab dips, and design reviews.
• Source and qualify high-performance knits and wovens; PLM/backbone experience.
• Ensure fabric compliance, sustainability, safety; laminating for outerwear.

🎯 Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in technical material development for performance knits/wovens.
• Expertise in moisture management, durability testing; ASTM/ISO/NFPA/AATC standards.
• Translate user experience goals into fabric specs; manage timelines with global vendors.
• Ability to analyze trade-offs between aesthetic, performance, and function.
• Experience partnering with overseas suppliers, vendors, factories; travel quarterly.
• Degree in Textile Science/Engineering or equivalent.
