Senior Manager, Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead, grow, and develop a team of software engineers designing, building, and operating services
• Own end-to-end delivery for the team's domain, setting priorities and roadmap with product and
• Manage reliability, scalability, and operability of services, establishing SLOs, on-call practices
• Partner with principal and distinguished engineers to align work with platform architecture and
• Review designs and code, weigh in on architectural decisions, and contribute as a player-coach
• Build a healthy, high-trust engineering culture with clear expectations and honest feedback

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leveraging or thinking critically about integrating AI into engineering and platform work
• 10+ years building production software, including hands-on experience operating distributed systems
• 5+ years managing software engineers with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining
• Track record of leading teams to deliver complex, business-critical systems end-to-end
• Hands-on experience with at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code
