Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead LV switchgear/switchboard mechanical design (enclosures, frames, barriers, cabling).
• Create 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks; manage BOMs and revisions.
• Support high-current systems (1200A–6000A) and large-frame configurations.
• Collaborate with Electrical Eng to ensure safe, code-compliant layouts.
• Lead DFM/DFA activities for modularization and standardization.
• Generate ECOs and redlines; support prototypes and UL documentation.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years in mechanical design within engineered-to-order, electrical infrastructure, or industrial products.
• 1–2 years LV switchgear or switchboard design experience (1200A–6000A preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal, machining, structural design, and tolerance control.
• Experience releasing manufacturing packages (drawings, BOMs, ECOs).
