Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead and mentor engineers on the product development team.
• Develop concepts for new products and improvements.
• Design mechanisms, drive systems, sheet metal and plastics housings.
• Develop cost estimates from concepts or designs.
• Ensure manufacturability and smooth ramps to production.
• Test designs to prove functionality and reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Experience designing consumer products like crafting machines or printers.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and analysis tools (ANSYS, MATLAB).
• Injection molded plastics design, tooling and process tuning.
• Proficient in GD&T; strong mechanical systems knowledge.
