Senior Mechanical Engineer, Battery HV Distribution

📋 Description

• Design mechanical enclosures, mounts, interfaces for HV battery components.
• Size conductors, optimize insulation, and interconnect strategy.
• Select HV contactors and fuse coordination for safe power distribution.
• Support HV safety design: creepage/clearance, shielding, and sealing.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, FEA, and DFMEA to validate designs.
• Develop and release 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using NX.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with HV systems and electric powertrains (bonus if hybrid).
• Expert understanding of efficient mechanical/thermal/electrical design.
• NX CAD / tolerance stack / GD&T experience.
• Familiar with UN38.3, IEC, UL, and ISO HV battery standards.
